Using AI-assisted text recognition technology, Menium analyzes your photo and automatically converts your handwritten recipe into clear, structured text. Unlike basic OCR, our technology interprets the text to automatically organize your recipe in a clean and readable format. No need to retype anything—the app takes care of entering all the details, from ingredients to preparation.
FAQ
Adding recipes
Menium works with most handwritten and printed text. However, if the writing is very blurry or illegible, the app may have difficulty converting it. Try to take a clear and well-framed photo for better results!
Yes! Once the recipe is added, you can edit the text, add ingredients, change the steps, and even add personal notes.
Menium currently supports adding recipes via photo or URL link.
Sometimes, photo quality can affect recognition. Make sure that: - The recipe is well lit, with no harsh shadows - The handwriting is clear and not too blurry -The photo is properly framed, without cutting off any words.
If needed, try retaking the photo from a better angle or increasing the brightness!
Menium does its best to analyze and structure your recipe, but highly cursive handwriting or uncommon abbreviations can sometimes be more difficult to interpret.
Tip: Try writing a bit more clearly or manually entering any elements that weren’t recognized correctly.
If the image isn’t loading, check the following: - That your internet connection is stable - That the photo format is supported (JPEG, PNG) - That the image file isn’t too large
If the issue persists, restart the app and try again.
Yes! Menium’s artificial intelligence continually improves over time. The more recipes it processes, the better it gets. Your feedback helps us refine and increase the accuracy of the analysis.
Sharing
No, to view a shared recipe, the person must have a Menium account.
If you share a recipe with someone who doesn’t have an account yet, they’ll be able to sign up for free to view it. Once registered, they’ll have access to the recipe and can add it to their own collection.
Sharing is easy — but it’s reserved for Menium users only!
Sharing a recipe → You send a specific recipe to someone, and it will be added to their personal collection. The same applies to any recipe you receive.
Sharing a directory → A mutual exchange! When you share a directory, you give access to all the recipes it contains. In return, you also gain access to the other person’s directory, creating a true space for culinary sharing.
Yes! Every time a new recipe is added to a shared directory, you’ll see a red notification dot on your profile icon.
If you delete a recipe from your own directory, it will be permanently removed from your account.
Dans un partage de recette (une seule recette envoyée) :
- When someone shares a single recipe with you, it’s copied into your directory.
- If the other person deletes the recipe from their account, you’ll still keep it — it’s now saved in your own directory.
In a shared directory:
- When you access a shared directory, you see the recipes in real time.
- If the person sharing the directory deletes a recipe, it will disappear for you as well, since you’re accessing their content directly.
In short: a shared recipe stays in your account even if the other person deletes it, but in a shared directory, anything deleted by one person disappears for everyone.
